Every year around the globe, 500,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and over 250,000 women die from the disease.

As a supporter of the Global Consortium of Women to End Cervical Cancer, I want you to know a few facts:

  1. Cervical cancer is caused by a very common virus - the human papillomavirus (HPV).
  2. Cervical cancer is preventable with Pap testing, HPV testing (recommended for those over 30) and HPV vaccines (recommended for girls and young women).
  3. Call your healthcare provider today to find out what you can do to protect yourself against cervical cancer.
